Jim’s breast cancer walk page

This year I am participating in AVON 39 The Walk to End Breast Cancer. I will be walking with my wife, Kim. She was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer four years ago. Given her initial diagnosis, it is hard to believe that we will be doing the Avon Walk together after four years, but she has never stopped believing. I have watched her persevere, fight through exhaustion, surgeries, chemo, radiation, while raising 3 wonderful children. As a husband with a wife with cancer, I try and be supportive and helpful.

Kim has participated in several walks for cancer. So I decided this year to walk with her. I also decided if I can help her during the walk, maybe I can assist others. I joined the Men With Heart team. Each team member wears a bright yellow shirt and backpack with medical supplies and other items walkers may need. Although approaching strangers and asking them if they need anything is not in my nature, I will gladly take myself out of my comfort zone for this worthy cause.

So I ask you to help me with this fundraising process. The goal is to raise 1800.00 to participate in the walk. I am hoping to raise that amount.
